I've found a new blog I adore - 71toes.com - and in it she talks about getaways with her sisters. Their sisters getaways (more here) are MFME: Mothers and Future Mothers of Eyrealm (their family). I adore this idea. Getting together to laugh, eat delicious food, enjoy sunshine (ideally) and discuss how to improve ourselves. I know we are all very busy, so it would be difficult to orchestrate, but who would really be up for a weekend away? Maybe St. George or California or Bear Lake? I could do the planning (at some point Events Planning became part of my job title...) if everyone is up for it. I know that means arranging husbands' work schedules, your own work schedules, extracurricular activities, etc. Work, but worth it?
Thoughts?

Cruise Pictures
I bought these gems from the cruiseline. They cost a mint, but really - how could I not? What fun girls we have in our family. I love how much fun they make life and how often they crack me up. I can't look at these without grinning (especially picture #1).

Knock, knock!
The other day I looked at Dusty and said, "knock, knock!" He said "who's there" I smiled and said, "THE BIG BAD WOLF!" And the just smiled waiting for his response... After an awkward glance and no reply, I realized the traditional "colored eggs" was a Milar family creation that I'm presuming nobody but us knows about.
I have explained the whole game to Dusty and I can't wait until a summer day while we are all out onthe back patio eating ice cream cones and start a game of colored eggs!!!

South Jordan Wedding Reception- Pictures, Part I
The wedding has come and gone and what a blast it was :)
Dusty and I have been overwhelmed with the love and support and generosity everyone offered as we worked to pull this double location wedding off. We are so thankful for everyone's help and love you all so much!!
We have gotten some of our pictures back from the South Jordan wedding reception. We are waiting for a couple more but here is a good start to some of my favorites :) There are loads of them, so prepare to be scrolling for a while.
Enjoy! And again, thank you for all you did!!!

Family Theme
This year we started a new tradition with the kids for back to school. Danny and I want them to know how important learning and gaining knowledge is so we kicked off the school year with a nice family dinner party. They each got some school supplies and a book that they have loved this past year. I was trying to think of something I could give them each year that is the same, but different and I knew books would be perfect. They absolutely loved them!
My favorite part of the night was the back to school blessings and introducing our family theme.
We want the kids to have something they can focus on when struggles or hard times come. I especially thought of when we are learning something new and they get frustrated and think they can't do it. We have been saying it every morning before we start school and it really has helped not just them, but me. There are things that I struggle with and am afraid of doing, but this quote reminds me of the faith I need to accomplish things that may seem impossible.
Here are some more fun pictures from the night.
